Moving and Shaking!

This week has been busy going here and there, making progress on the house and having visits from Kellie and Henry!

Last weekend Daniel had his drill for the guard in Anniston, so Della and I went with him for a couple days. We met him there after we got to visit with Kellie and Henry in Birmingham. We have exciting news from them... they are moving to Florence!!! Henry is being appointed at Edgemont United Methodist Church and we are very excited about them being closer and all the new adventures the move will bring. It is going to be great to have them 20 minutes away rather than 2.5 hours!

Sleepy babies

Della has had a cough that got worse over the weekend, so I took her back into the doctor on Monday. The cough is just snottiness and drainage so not much we can do about that, but she did have the beginning of an ear infection... so we are taking medicine for that so that we can knock it out before it gets any worse. The doctor was impressed that she is almost 10 months old and this is the first ear infection! I guess we've been lucky. But you wouldn't even know she's sick, she's always so happy!

I've gotten to take a few photos this week of friends, which is always so fun! I don't do photography as my profession even though that is what my degree is in, but for friends and family I will sometimes do photos if I am able. It's fun to try new things and build a bit of a portfolio in case I do have a studio one day. My friend Elizabeth's sister is graduating from UNA in May, so I did some graduation photos for her, and my friend Paige is expecting her baby boy in May, so I got to do my first maternity shoot (other than myself, lol)!

I have actually recently created a portfolio website of my work, because I tend to tell people about the photos I've done then have no place to direct them to see more... I've been doing some training at work, so I've stayed late a couple days and Daniel and Della came to visit, then we both took off Friday and it was really nice to run some errands together and get some stuff for the house! We are having to replace some of the sub-floor in the kitchen due to some old leaks so we are working that this week then will lay floors! We are so close!! I haven't finished painting the beams or the trim, but getting the floors down is more important... I can paint anytime, I'll just be careful, lol!

Saturday Daniel and worked on the house with a friend and Della and I spent the day at my parent's house. I have been sick with another round of this sinus mess, so I was in no shape to paint anything... I was wonderful to rest and spend some time there. We opened the pool for the summer and I can't wait to swim with Della! Kellie and Henry had some meetings at the new church so they were able to hang out too! We grilled out that evening and it was just an all around great day. Della go to play with their dog Zeus, I think she was amazed at a big puppy compared to Bernie!
