Short and Stressed

I am so ready to graduate. Like, I can't wait to not ever have to write a research paper again.

The good news is, I'm almost there. I turn in my final draft of my capstone project (a 30 page monster paper) on the 26th of this month and after that it's just edits. Praise. Sweet. Baby. Jesus. I bought my tassel this week and have it hanging in my office as motivation to get it done! I'm taking a break from research and writing right now to write this, which is why it is late getting out... but anyway, enough complaining... 😂

This week I received my order from a lovely little online shop called Sincere Elephant! One of my ADPi sorority sisters, Katie, is rocking the #momlife and found a way to help other moms too! I ordered some bandana bibs to help keep Della from getting soaking wet from drool and I love them! She also threw in this super cute bag that speaks the truth... I'll be carrying it to work with all my pump stuff in it! Wednesday I didn't feel well, so me and Della stayed home. I think I was dehydrated, so I took it easy, drank water and worked on school stuff. Then we went to our church Thanksgiving supper and had some delicious food! I made my awesome coconut cake and some crockpot mashed potatoes. We had fun seeing everyone and Della got to wear her turkey outfit! I'm trying to get as much wear out of it as I can! Of course, she was a sleepy girl and didn't stay awake for our photo, but hey, being a baby is tiring.

I sealed the grout on the tile, so now we are ready to do the plumbing and put the vanity and toilet back in. We picked out our faucet, so that's ready to be put in. It was easy to seal, we got a can of spray on sealer that I just sprayed on the grout lines and wiped off the excess. For the other bathroom, when we do it later, we will get a kind of sealer that mixes in with the grout instead of water. That way it takes out one step! We didn't know that existed until after we were done...

Saturday we went shopping in town and ate breakfast then had dinner with Dan, Carolyn and some of their friends later that night. We had no idea that the storm that came through was so bad! We didn't have any damage out our way, but my parents didn't have power until Sunday afternoon. We met them for lunch then went to their house once their power came back on. We also groomed Bernie... I don't have any photos because that was an ordeal... I just haven't had time to get her groomed professionally because I usually take her to Florence and I just can't kill 4 hours in town with Della... So we just cut her short and got the tangles out and maybe I can get her in with a groomer closer to my house by the time she needs cut again.

Next week should be fun with Thanksgiving and my Birthday!! It will also be stressful because of my paper being due, but that's the story of my life until December 7th...
