Done and DONE!

Done!

After submitting my final Capstone Project on Sunday night, I got it back with edits on Tuesday and had my second consultation with my professor on Wednesday. Almost all the changes needed were just cosmetic, so I fixed everything and turned that sucker in that same day! I figure why wait until the day it's due... this way he has plenty of time to read it, because if I spend that much time writing something, he had better read it! 😂 It feels good to be done, but I don't think it's really going to sink in until I walk across the stage, then really when I don't start classes in January. Now I can get to my growing list of "things I'm going to do when I get done with my masters." LOL!

Yay!
Tuesday my mom wanted to pick up Della from daycare, so we had our date night and went to Logan's to eat and did a little Christmas shopping for Della at Target. We are getting her a bouncy seat since she's getting really good at sitting up, and it just looked super fun! They also had this thing called Moonlite that is a little projector you put on your iPhone and it displays books, like the Pokey Little Puppy and whatnot, on the ceiling. It was so cool so I can't wait to use it! Mama and Daddy had a ball with Della, as usual.

Thursday we celebrated my birthday with Dan and Carolyn by going to a cute little restaurant in Rogersville, The Honeysuckle Cafe. If you're ever in Rogersville and need a bite to eat I highly recommend it! My favorite thing is the chicken and waffle sandwich, it's just awesome!

I tried to get Della to sleep in her crib that night, but it lasted about 30 minutes before she woke up wet and crying... so she slept the rest of the night by our bed. We'll keep working on this, and hopefully now that I'm out of school we can work on a more concrete bedtime routine.

Oh! My heart!
This weekend Daniel had drill, so me and Della did a little shopping in Rogersville with my mom and then went back home to catch up on laundry and such. Della took an awesome 3 hour nap and I was able to get a lot done by the time Daniel got home. I took pictures of her because she's now 5 MONTHS OLD! How is this possible!? It does not feel like she should be that old... but this has been the best 5 months and I couldn't image life without her! She already has such a fun little personality and I have a feeling she's gonna be a pretty fun little girl!

that one finger... lol!
Della is trapped!
Sunday we went to church and lunch as usual, and Della wore a crochet dress that I made about 4 years ago. I saw the pattern and just loved the little dress and hat, so I went ahead and made it and thought well, if I have a girl someday she can wear it and if not, someone else can. But it still fits her at 5 months, even though I had to stretch out the hat a little... When Daniel got home we played with him and then put up the Christmas tree and other decorations! I realized this is the first year Bernie has had access to the whole living room during Christmas, so hopefully she won't eat the tree while we're gone... Someday when our house is finished I will be able to put up other decorations, but for now just a tree and a wreath on the door will do. Next year the house should be completely done and I can have lots of fun decorating!
Don't eat the Christmas tree please...
