Vacation, Easter and Playing Catch Up!

 

March 26 - April 20 , 2018

 It's just crazy how busy life can get! I've been meaning to write the blog for a couple weeks and before you know it it's mid-April! (but you wouldn't know it by the weather...) So I'll do a quick summary of some of the fun things we've done since you last heard from the Bishop tribe...

We went to Gatlinburg!

UNA was closed for spring break, so we took a vacay to the mountains! We love going to Gatlinburg and it was lots of fun to take Della for her first time. We went exactly one year before for our "babymoon" so we got a fun picture by the same bear in downtown. Della loved the aquarium, she was asleep when we bought the tickets, but luckily woke up soon after walking in. She loved looking at all the tiny colorful fish, but the big amazon one scared her! We ate great food, took super cute photos, and Della swam in a pool for the first time.! It was a great little getaway!

When we got back it was time for Easter! Della had a great first Easter, and loved her baby Easter basket!

Then Della ran some errands with me, getting new tires on the car.

 April 4th, Della stood on her own for the first time!!

So we had to lower the crib...

 Her 9 month check up went great! She's in the 25th% for weight and still at 5th% for height... it's in her genes. She was 16 lbs 12 oz and 25 inches tall. 

Now she's finally got enough hair to put a bow in!

We've also been having our kitchen re-done! We got our new counter top, sink and dishwasher put in this week!! I'm so excited to not have to wash all my dishes (and bottles) by hand anymore! and I love how it all turned out. Now just to paint the cabinets and the trim, then put down the floors and we are well on our way to living in the current decade!

I also took out all the old ugly contact paper from the cabinets on the bottom and painted everything white. It looks soooo much better!

Hopefully I can get back on track to writing each week so that it doesn't pile up like this time! There has just been so much going on that I haven't had a chance to catch up. Right now I'm taking advantage of being over at my parent's house and Della is taking a nap... I just keep telling myself that once we get the floors down in the house I can take a bit of a break, we just need to get there!
